Our 3rd grade students are wonderful young people and have dedicated themselves to practicing Spanish! They are always so passionate about any practice opportunities in class! So far this semester, here is what we have learned. 3rd grade students can...
-begin to sing the alphabet in Spanish!
-count to 31, maybe even up to 100!
-tell you what classes/subjects they have
-tell you where their classes are in relation to one another
-tell you parts of the school
-talk about parts of a house
-Tell you what someone is wearing
-explain what colors their clothing is
-talk about prices of clothing
-talk about what they want and need to wear or buy

3 and 4) Performance Based Assessment prompt for the final project for this unit. Students will choose EITHER the Poster OR the Poem! Due 5/18!

Below you will find the current week's lesson plans. Please keep in mind that lessons and activities can (and frequently do) change depending upon student engagement, ability and mastery level. This is a rough draft of what will happen in class. With young students, anything can happen! As a teacher, I plan for that and allow flexibility in my lessons to ensure that students are receiving the most appropriate instruction possible.

Students will be introduced to their PBA for this unit. They will be creating a Wanted Poster or a Poem about themselves. We will have time in class to work.
